Spring is in the air at the Sacramento Historic Rose Garden and the Rose Chat Podcast has the scoop on every opportunity to "Put your nose in a rose" in this garden that is considered by many to be a national treasure.    The Sacramento Historic Rose Garden has been recognized by the Great Rosarians of the World Hall of Fame award and is a World Federation of Rose Societies   Garden of Excellence for its efforts to preserve roses that would otherwise be lost. April is when the roses are at peak bloom, and activities in the garden abound!   This is a perfect time to have the garden Curator, Anita Clevenger with us.       Miniature & Mini-flora Roses with Elena Williams Elena has been growing miniature roses since 1998. A few years later the mini-flora class was formed and that was a natural fit for her collection of roses. Arranging roses and Horticulture exhibiting and judging are her favorite hobbies, but she also enjoys photographing roses. In 2011 Elena moved 60 mini and mini-flora roses from Minnesota to Western Washington, where many of those roses thriving in the maritime climate.
