ABOUT CONNIE:

 

Connie Hilker has been growing and studying heritage roses since 2002. She is the Old Garden Rose chair for the Colonial District of the American Rose Society, Historian of the Richmond Rose Society, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Heritage Rose Foundation, manages the historic rose collection at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia, and is the author of Heritage Roses: A Collection of Essays and Lessons. Connie and her husband Steve live in a historic house in Hartwood, Virginia, where her gardens are home to over 400 varieties of roses.
